Who are GFS?

GFS is an award-winning media company, management consultancy, production services provider, and innovator of risk management solutions for the screen sector. Everything we do is underpinned by a drive to create valuable opportunities for our clients and outcomes worthy of the gold standard.

Risk management solutions: We support clients in all sectors to achieve their objectives by building resilience to security, safety, and medical risks, and providing innovative strategies to overcome any challenge, anywhere in the world.

Production management solutions: We are committed to helping our industry-leading screen sector clients achieve their creative vision through excellence in all management and practical components of their productions.

GFS was established in 2004 by three-time Emmy® Award-winning producer, Producers Guild of America Television Producer of the Year nominee and co-founder, Julian Grimmond.

Originally named Global Film Solutions and successor of Grimmond Productions and Mountain Film Productions, GFS is a company born in the New Zealand film industry and operating globally across various sectors.

Our early successes include producing the CBS series, The Amazing Race, in which our detailed and disciplined risk management approach was essential to the seamless delivery of a show that beat both The Apprentice and American Idol to win three consecutive Primetime Emmy® Awards.

Since then we have continued to work with the world’s largest media companies, including A+E Studios, Amazon, CBS, Discovery Channel, Disney, eOne, Hulu, ITV, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal, National Geographic, Netflix, and Quibi. We have worked on projects touching every continent of the world, from the peak of Mt. Everest to the depths of the Southern Ocean, through warzones and health pandemics, and involving the planet’s most dangerous species and well-known talent.
